If you own a septic system, there are certain things you have to get used to doing differently in order to take care of the system. While looking for info on septic systems on our favorite Build it Yourself website. I found the following post in the forum. Apparently this prevents too much liquid from being flushed down to the tanks . . .
" . . . Some friends had a lake house with septic problems and had "cute" signs in the bathrooms which said, 'If its yellow, let it mellow If its brown, flush it down' . . ."
